The elderly infirm are supported by the available services and personal friends.\nThe parish has 2 popular Hotel/restaurants: the Anchorage and the White Eagle. Pontrhydybont (Four Mile Bridge) has a hairdresser.\nThe increasing pace of demographic changes in the parish are resulting in significant impact on the traditional culture and heritage of the area, the Welsh-language, the economy (some positive as well as negative aspects) with immediate and long-term implications for the future of the young people. \nTourism is viewed as a double-edged sword, with benefits and concerns.\nI Live in a very close community so feel safe in that regard.\nI know all my neighbours well. I\u2019m aware of most things in my community through Facebook.  I find it reprehensible that we may lose PENRHOS Nature Reserve. I have no idea why the Community of Holy Island have never had any consultations through the planning process. I find that democratically failing of the Isle of Anglesey County Council and the Developers.\nMost information was found in Facebook.\nFour mile bridge- Friendly.  Helpful.  There for one another.\nPont Rhyd y Bont/ Four Mile Bridge has changed so very much like everywhere really , but we have nowhere left, no caf\u00e9, no chapel, no post office, no gathering place \nPeople go to the relish cafe in Valley to meet but that\u2019s fine if you have transport \nSailing club has been closed for a year likewise kids football a great Lissa d the boys have been to school for three months in almost one year\nLibrary Holyhead excellent\nThis is Pont Rhyd y Bont not Four Mile bridge\nWe do have a supportive community here but small clusters of people not like it used to be \nI would walk or cycle about if I didn\u2019t drive\nI walk mostly to the local shops.\nWe walk or cycle regularly and meet neighbours out and about there are no other meeting or social venues open to us like cafes or pubs\nI see less people and as a community we would get together socially, this has stopped during Covid\nThere are a lot of empty holiday houses the remaining occupied by local working families and retired people are very friendly and engaging when we meet or pass on the road coat or maybe beach\nFree cooking apples in a wheelbarrow for people to \nhelp themselves how nice\nLots of Caravan and camping site I think we have reached the maximum the village can take its bedlam here at times \nSuch a shame the last shop it was a gallery being changed into yet another house \nOutdoor sea activities, it would be great to offer something for locals as it\u2019s so expensive \nCoastal Paths\nWe go to Holyhead to the doctor\nWe are lucky to have Penrhos hospital on our doorstep\nDentist in Holyhead would be good to have a mobile dentist and doctor especially for the older people and people who cannot drive \nAcquiring a doctor\u2019s appointment in my surgery is nigh on impossible. Waiting times for any doctor can be more than three weeks.\nDentist in Valley won\u2019t use the Welsh language he can be very rude \nCan never get a doctor\u2019s appointment I hope I never need an emergency doctor \nPeople reply on friends and family if they don\u2019t drive \nPublic transport is not easy as I\u2019m disabled. \nAs I\u2019m disabled it would be taxi. I can\u2019t get up the steps of a bus.\n3 bus stops but I don\u2019t use\nPublic transport is sufficient for the area. All residents in Rhoscolyn have cars and rarely use the buses.\nI do not need to use public transport but if I did, I am aware of the local bus and the bus stop locations.\nLucky we both drive I would not want to use the bus service I\u2019ve been told its awful\nVolume of traffic through the village is awful now more than ever\nPeople with trailer and boats causing traffic jams on the road\nNo safe walking areas, you have to walk on the road \nTraffic is awful through the village sometimes there is a grid lock usually in the summer when people are towing boats.\nLarge boats cause terrible problems on the road \nLots of holiday homes parking on the road not enough parking in their rented homes \nLocal people also just park any gap they see, it is terrible \nPeople driving on the beach without any consideration to people on the beach\nWhen there is a wedding in the church the farmer would allow parking in his field if it was dry but has sold the field now, no idea what will happen now when there is a wedding it will be a mess on the roads and really dangerous\nOf immediate concern for both Pontrhydybont and Rhoscolyn; TRAFFIC.   The turning for Rhoscolyn at PRHyB becomes congested by resident parking, holiday traffic and especially enormous wagons and lorries turning for Rhoscolyn. This has increased due to property development in Rhoscolyn, attendant service vehicles and traffic to Silver Bay caravan site, the White Eagle and Rhoscolyn in general for outdoor access and holiday destinations along with regular shopping deliveries during the pandemic.\nIncreased traffic to Borthwen ,Rhoscolyn beach has resulted in parking at the church and along the narrow lanes and dangerous corners, not only at weekends and peak holiday times.\nIt is appreciated that there are toilet facilities at Borthwen, Rhoscolyn, but people use the sand dunes when the facilities are closed, during what used to be considered out of season.\nNowhere safe for cyclists \nNever see the police here\nRhoscolyn coastguard team has merged with Holyhead such a shame \nThe roads are in a terrible state\nThere are no pavements nowhere is safe to walk \nIMMEDIATE SAFETY CONCERN: Roads. The entire Rhoscolyn loop road is single track with passing places. \nRoad repairs are desperately needed due to increased usage and resultant deterioration, ruts and flooding. \nThe existing road foundations are inadequate for expansion of the tarmac road surface onto verges. \nWalkers and cyclists are increasingly exposed to danger by the volume of traffic with few safe passing places, erosion of grassy verges and vehicle SPEE\nResidents at the row of Council Houses in Rhoscolyn are calling for signage and speed restrictions especially in that area due to children playing and residents crossing the road from their on-road parking\nSpeeding cars through PRhyB terrible we need a Zebra crossing\nNo pavement walking to Rhoscolyn really dangerous and cars speed down there\nOver development of holiday homes\nEvery patch of land seems built on\nYoung people and young families cannot afford to buy and live in Rhoscolyn\nToo many Air B&B, nothing left for locals to rent but plenty of empty houses\nHoliday lettings everywhere \nHouses for sale seem all to go for holiday homes as an investment\nPeople converting garages into holiday accommodation or \u201cgranny flats\u201d \nWorry that we will be looking out language, culture and identity as locals are disappearing as they cannot afford to buy a home here \n80% of Rhoscolyn is holiday homes\nThe community has change so so much we know very few people here now and we have lived her most of our lives\nPeople are changing original Welsh house names taking away the history and culture of the house. They are re naming with English name which has no significance to the village or the history \nHuge houses being built awful and not in keeping with the local community , the policy needs changing to stop this \nI worry what\u2019s going to older people in the village when they cannot look after themselves any more there is nowhere local form them to go ? they should be allowed to stay in their community not sent off away from everything that is familiar to them \nAffordable housing has disappeared in Rhoscolyn due to the huge rise in property prices and property developments which cater to the increase in holiday rentals, year-round, not just seasonal.\nThere is a worrying situation in Four Mile Bridge where previously residential properties are being changed to holiday lets and this has a negative effect on the immediate community.\nNo affordable housing in PRhYB noting for young families \nToo many houses being brought up by wealthy business people buying in bulk doing them up then either renting out holiday homes or selling at high price that no local can ever afford \nNo homes for local people\nToo many empty holiday homes and air B7B\nNeed to consider the extra parking that\u2019s needed when new homes are built with bigger extensions or new homes squeezed onto pieces of garden, car par on pavements it\u2019s not acceptable\nHomes for locals needed \nACC policy needs to be tightened on development and converting accommodation too many loopholes  \nBeaches \nThe promenade wonderful place to walk and see people \nSome people with holiday homes leave their lights on all day and night if they are not there, this is awful light pollution and waste of energy they should be fined and money given back to the community \nCoastal Paths\nOutdoor sea activities, it would be great to offer something for locals as it\u2019s so expensive\nNumber of public footpaths\u00a0\nConcerns regarding litter and not enough bins, see masks littered everywhere \nPeople are changing footpath name to English silly names like Fly lane! We need to get these original names back as they have an historic importance and story to tell \nAll who live in the parish appreciate their environment, young and old; \nFour Mile Bridge is a well-kept residential area. \nMany locals enjoy access to the headlands, footpaths and coastline.\nWe have some beautiful walks in PRHyB\nThe boardwalk is great but is rotting away due to the tide \nSafe environment, natural beauty, kind neighbours\nI find it reprehensible that we may lose PENRHOS Nature Reserve.
